Bengals announce recent signings
The following are recent contract signings, re-signings and/or extensions announced by the Cincinnati Bengals.
• The Bengals re-signed unrestricted free agent DT B.J. Hill to a three-year contract through the 2027 season.
Hill, an eighth-year player, was acquired by the Bengals in a trade with the N.Y. Giants ahead of the 2021 season. He has played in 64 regular-season games with 50 starts for Cincinnati, and totaled 225 tackles, 19 TFLs, 16 sacks, 13 PDs, two INTs, one FF and four FRs.
Hill also has played in seven postseason contests for the Bengals (six starts), and recorded 22 tackles, three TFLs, 2.5 sacks, three PDs and one INT.
• The Bengals signed unrestricted free agent DT T.J. Slaton to a two-year contract through the 2026 season.
Slaton (6-5, 340), a fifth-year player out of the University of Florida, originally was a fifth-round draft pick of Green Bay in 2021. He has spent the past four seasons with the Packers (2021-24), playing in 68 regular-season games with 36 starts. His career totals include 133 tackles, six TFLs, two sacks and four PDs. He also has played in four postseason games (three starts), recording 10 tackles with two TFLs.
• The Bengals signed unrestricted free agent HB Samaje Perine to a two-year contract through the 2026 season.
Perine (5-11, 240), a ninth-year player out of the University of Oklahoma, originally was a fourth-round draft pick of Washington in 2017. He previously has spent time with Washington (2017-18), Cincinnati (’19, ’20-22), Miami (’19), Denver (’23) and Kansas City (’24). In 110 career regular-season games (12 starts), he has 474 rushing attempts for 1922 yards (4.1-yard average) and nine TDs, along with 179 receptions for 1513 yards (8.5) and seven TDs. He also has returned eight kickoffs for 224 yards (28.0).
In his previous stints with the Bengals, Perine saw action in 54 regular-season games with three starts and recorded 213 carries for 914 yards and six TDs, along with 76 catches for 549 yards and five TDs. He also played in seven postseason contests and totaled 142 yards from scrimmage (60 rushing, 82 receiving), with both a rushing TD and a receiving TD.
• The Bengals re-signed unrestricted free agent DE Cam Sample to a one-year contract through the 2025 season.
Sample, a fifth-year player, originally was a fourth-round draft pick of the Bengals in 2021. He has played in 47 regular-season games with three starts for Cincinnati, and recorded 68 tackles, six TFLs, five sacks and one PD. He spent the entire 2024 season on the Reserve/Injured list with an Achilles injury.
Sample also has seen action in six postseason games for the Bengals and totaled seven tackles, one sack and one PD.
• The Bengals signed CB Marco Wilson to a one-year contract extension through the 2025 season.
Wilson, who will be a fifth-year player in 2025, was acquired by Cincinnati on waivers from New England this past November. He played in each of the Bengals’ final six games of the 2024 regular season and recorded two tackles along with one pass defensed. He has seen action in 60 career regular-season contests (37 starts), spending time with Arizona (2021-23) and New England (’23-24) prior to Cincinnati.
