Bengals announce Aug. 7 roster moves

The Cincinnati Bengals Wednesday made the following roster moves:

• Signed DE Andre Carter. Carter (6-5, 270), a rookie out of Indiana University, originally signed with Jacksonville as a free agent in May. He was waived by the Jaguars on July 31.

• Signed DT Joshua Pryor. Pryor (6-4, 280), a second-year player out of Bowie State University, originally was a college free agent signee of Washington in 2023. He played in seven games as a rookie for the Commanders and recorded one special teams tackle. He was waived by Washington on May 7.

• Placed DE Cam Sample on the Reserve/Injured list with an Achilles injury.

• Waived P Austin McNamara and WR Tre Mosley. Both players signed with the Bengals as college free agents in May.
