Bryce Bean, who plays summer baseball with the Hillsboro Legion Post 129 team, has recently been selected to the prestigious USSSA All-American Games, where only the top 150 prospects in his age group were invited.

Bean was nominated by his Hillsboro Legion coaches to attend the try-outs. The first tryout was at Shawnee State University and second tryout was at Marietta College. Bean will be traveling to Kissimmee, Florida in August to compete in the Houston Astros Spring Training Stadium.

This event allows Bean the opportunity to compete against the country’s elite players while being evaluated by college coaches, MLB scouts and former MLB coaches.

The USSSA All-American Games serves as the selection process for the USSSA All-Americans and the USSSA National Team who will compete internationally next summer.

Bean will be a senior at East Clinton High School and also plays on East Clinton High School baseball team. He is the son of Noel and Lori Bean, of Sabina.[[In-content Ad]]
