The Highland County Press-
This past week, on Friday, June 20 in the Greenfield Summer Youth League, an unassisted triple play was turned by Allie Flowers in the 7-8 year old age division.

Flowers was playing shortstop, and in the top of the third inning, with runners on first and second and no outs, a line drive was hit to Flowers.

The runners were in motion on contact, and Flowers snagged the line drive, ran to second and touched the bag and continued on to run and touch first base for three outs.

Flowers, 8, is the daughter of Todd and Debbie Flowers. She will be in third grade and attends school at Rainsboro Elementary.

As for the team (Southern Hills Community Bank), they have compiled a 7-2 record and will be the No. 1 seed in the tournament next week.

Team members include: Jacolyn Bolender, Lily Barnes, Allie Flowers, Kenzie Wise, Mackenzie Corbin, Ashley Mitchell, Bailey Mitchell, Harlee Hammond, Abby Lovett, Tommie Hughart and Nikkiah Smith.[[In-content Ad]]
