Wildcats improve to 8-1 in SHAC standings; win at Fayetteville

The Whiteoak Wildcats added to their Southern Hills Athletic Conference record Tuesday night by defeating the Fayetteville Rockets on the road by a 14-1 score in six innings.
For WHS, they scored two runs in the top of the fourth, followed by another four runs in the top of the fourth, then six runs in the top of the sixth inning, Fayetteville scored their lone run in the bottom of the fifth inning.
The Wildcats (8-1, 16-1) saw Eli Roberts finish 3-for-4 with a double, two runs and two RBI. Also with three hits was Luken Roades at 3-for-5 with a double, two runs, two RBI and a steal.
Landon Barnett went 2-for-4 with a run, three RBI, a double and a steal. David Donohoo ended the SHAC win at 2-for-4 with one run, three RBI and a steal.
Carson Emery, Ian Griffith and Zander Roades each had one hit. Emery was 1-for-2 with a run, one RBI, a SAC, a HBP and a steal. Griffith finished 1-for-3 with two runs and a walk. Zander Roades went 1-for-2 at the plate with three runs, one RBI, a double and a steal.
Kaden Moon-Stone finished with two runs, one walk, a HBP and a steal, and Nate Price forced a walk.
Luken Roades was the winning pitcher for the Wildcats, gaining the win with six innings pitched, while allowing one earned run on four hits and no walks. He totaled 11 strikeouts in the win.
WHS now stands 8-1 in first place in Division II of the SHAC, with an overall record of 16-1.
