Wildcats fall in SHAC action to North Adams

Traveling to Adams County on Tuesday (March 31), the Whiteoak Wildcats fell to the host North Adams Green Devils, 10-5. 

The Southern Hills Athletic Conference game included North Adams scoring two runs in the bottom of the first, one run in the third, three runs in the fourth, two runs in the fifth and two runs in the bottom of the sixth inning. 

WHS scored their first two runs in the top of the first inning and three runs in the fourth. 

Whiteoak ended the game with five hits as Karson Arey was 2-for-3 with one run, a double, two RBI and a steal. 

Caden Butler was 1-for-3 with one run, one RBI and a walk. Jude Michael went 1-for-3 with a run, a double, one walk and one RBI. Abe Flader finished at 1-for-2 with one steal. 

Izayah Clift forced two walks and scored a run, plus he had three steals on three attempts. Lucas Pollard scored one run and had a steal. Jonah Michael forced a walk, and Christian Hite walked once. 

Jonah Michael was charged with the loss with five innings pitched, allowing one earned run with five strikeouts. Jude Michael pitched one inning with two earned runs and one strikeout. 

North Adams (1-0, 1-1) was led by Cash Hupp and Hunton Shiveley with two hits each. 

Next for the Wildcats (0-1, 0-4) was a home game Thursday, April 2 against Fayetteville at 5 p.m. in SHAC play.
