Whiteoak’s Landon Barnett tosses perfect game in win over Manchester; WHS wins against Ripley

Whiteoak senior pitcher Landon Barnett recorded a perfect game Thursday, April 27 as the Wildcats dominated host Manchester by a 13-0 score in five innings.

Barnett allowed no hits, runs, walks or any base runner in five innings on the mound, as the senior struck out five batters in the win.

Offensively, the Wildcats saw Eli Roberts finish 4-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, five RBI and one steal.

Ian Griffith was 3-for-3 with four runs, one RBI, one walk and one steal.

Carson Emery ended the day 3-for-4 with two runs, one RBI and two steals. Luken Roades was 2-for-3 with two runs, a double, one walk and a steal.

Barnett at the plate finished 1-for-4 with one run, and his hit was a triple. Nate Price ended the SHAC win at 1-for-3 with a run, one RBI and a SAC. Zander Roades was 1-for-2 with two runs, one walk and a hit by pitch.

Also for the Wildcats, David Donohoo had a walk and a steal.

The following day (Friday, April 28) Whiteoak defeated Ripley at home in SHAC action with a 15-0 victory, improving to 18-1 overall and 10-1 in the SHAC.

WHS scored runs in the first four innings, with five runs in the first, four in the second, five in the third and one run in the fourth inning.

In all, the Wildcats totaled nine hits and had one error. Ripley finished with two hits and committed three errors.

Landon Barnett was 2-for-2 with three runs, two doubles, three RBI, one walk and two steals. Zander Roades went 2-for-3, collecting one run, two RBI and four steals.

David Donohoo was 1-for-3 at the plate with a steal. Carson Emery ende the game at 1-for-2, scoring a run and collecting three RBI, two SACs and two steals.

Nate Price was 1-for-3 with one run, two RBI, a double, and two steals. Luken Roades was 1-for-1, totaling three runs, two walks and three steals.

Eli Roberts was 1-for-3 with one run, one RBI and a steal. Also for the Wildcats, Solomon Combs scored a run, drew a walk and collected a steal.

Ian Griffith scored three runs, had two walks and one HBP, and finished with two steals. Kaden Moon-Stone scored one run and forced a walk. Wyatt Ruark collected a steal.

On the mound, Ian Griffith pitched one inning, allowing no runs on one hit and one strikeout. Moon-Stone pitched three innings, allowing no runs on one hit and he had four strikeouts. Roberts pitched one inning, allowing no runs with two strikeouts.
