Whiteoak softball wins against Peebles, falls to Eastern in SHAC games

In their past two games, the Whiteoak Lady Wildcats fell to the Eastern Lady Warriors on Thursday (May 4) and defeated the Peebles Lady Indians on Friday (May 5), with both being Southern Hills Athletic Conference games.
In the Thursday game against Eastern, Whiteoak — the home team — lost by a 17-2 score, with the Lady ’Cats scoring their runs in the third and fifth innings. In all, WHS totaled five hits.
Addison Roberts went 1-for-3 for Whiteoak, scoring a run and had a steal. Lilly Leston went 1-for-1 with a run, one RBI, a double and a steal.
Molly McMullen finished 2-for-3 with a double, triple and one RBI. Madison Davidson drew a walk and had two steals. Also for WHS, Mattie Conrad was 1-for-3.
On Friday (May 5), Whiteoak defeated Peebles, 4-2.
WHS scored two runs in the second inning, one run in the third and a run in the top of the fifth inning. Peebles’ runs crossed the plate late in the game, with one in the fifth and one in the sixth inning.
For the game, WHS totaled four hits and Peebles had five hits.
Jaylie Parr was 1-for-3 with a run, one RBI and she hit a home run. Molly McMullen finished 1-for-3 with a run and RBI. Elly McMullen went 2-for-3 with two RBI.
Also for WHS, Addison Roberts scored a run, forced a walk and stole a base. Lilly Leston forced a walk and had a steal. Bri Hill finished with a run and walk. Kelsey Monteith collected a steal in the win.
Whiteoak now stands at 7-12 overall.
