Whiteoak loses road game at East Clinton
The Whiteoak Wildcats had some struggles offensively in the final three quarters, leading to a 53-31 loss in non-conference action Tuesday night at ECHS.
The Wildcats trailed by just three points when the first quarter finished, with East Clinton scoring 14 points and Whiteoak having 11 points.
From there, WHS scored seven points in the second quarter, eight points in the third and five points in the fourth frame.
East Clinton scored 11 points in the second quarter for a halftime lead of 25-18. In the second half, ECHS scored 16 points in the third, and 12 more points were added in the fourth quarter.
Sawyer Blair led WHS with 11 points, followed by Weston Blair with 10 points.
The remaining WHS scoring included Zander Roades and Jonah Michael with three points each, while Tyler Wessner and Brady Brandenburg each scored two points.
Making 3-pointers for Whiteoak were Sawyer Blair with two 3-pointers and Roades with one 3-pointer.
As a team, WHS went 8-of-11 from the free-throw line.
WHS currently is 1-3 overall and 1-0 in the SHAC.
