Whiteoak girls bowling advances to state tournament

The Whiteoak Lady Wildcats 2024-25 bowling team stamped their ticket to the Division II State Championship Tournament by winning their district tournament on Feb. 17, becoming the first girls team in school history to qualify for a state tournament event.
The Lady ‘Cats won their district championship with a total pin score of 3,398, as that score included all six Baker games. WHS in the regulation games had team scores of 728, 886 and 802 for a regulation total of 2,416 pins.
The six Baker games scores for Whiteoak were: 157, 185, 160, 131, 167 and 182 for a Baker total of 982.
The second place team was Lynchburg-Clay at 3,182 (overall team total), and third place went to Eastern at 3,170. The fourth place team was Gallia Academy at 2,853.
Whiteoak’s top scorer was Trulie Lamb with a regulation score of 522, as she had scores of 145, 190 and 187 for a sixth-place finish.
Also for WHS, Shauna Brown was next with a 514 score (167, 188, 159) for a seventh-place finish.
The rest of Whiteoak’s scores were: Madison Davidson at 487 (144, 187, 156) for 10th place overall, Mattie Conrad (12th place overall) at 476 (146, 170, 160), and Olivia Michaels (18th place overall) at 417 (126, 151, 140).
Scores for LCHS (regulation games only) were: Morgan Baker (255) - 2 games, Madison Baker (438), Maddie Brault (488), Kylie O’Connor (428) and Kylee Chaney (566), as Chaney of LCHS was fourth place overall.
