Whiteoak falls to Paint Valley

The Whiteoak Wildcats faced the Paint Valley Bearcats in Bainbridge on Monday (March 25), where they were defeated by the home team PVHS squad by an 11-4 score. 

WHS committed seven errors in the loss, as just four of the 11 runs allowed were earned runs. 

Zander Roades was 1-for-3 with one walk. Dakota Clift finished 1-for-3 with one run. Jonah Michael scored one run, had one RBI and walked once. Kaden Moon-Stone scored one run and drew two walks. 

As a team, the Wildcats forced eight walks with two from Camron Storms, two by Moon-Stone and one each by Izayah Clift, Michael, Roades and Eli Roberts. 

WHS also totaled nine steals, with two each by Storms, Roades and Moon-Stone, and one each by Dakota Clift and Michael. 

Izayah Clift pitched 5.2 innings, allowing seven runs (none earned) on seven hits and one walk. He finished with six strikeouts. Jacob Kiley allowed four earned runs and walked one, while teammate Michael walked two. Wyatt Ruark pitched 0.1 innings, allowing no runs or walks. 

The loss sends WHS to a 2-1 overall record.
