Whiteoak continues to add wins in SHAC play

The Whiteoak Lady Wildcats brought home another victory in Southern Hills Athletic Conference win, this time defeating the host Manchester Lady Greyhounds, 65-44.

Whiteoak (5-1, 6-1) trailed 13-10 after the first quarter, where for WHS they had three 3-pointers in the quarter from Charli Hauke, Kylee Hamm (who also made a free throw) and Addy Hauke.

The second frame went more for the Lady ’Cats as they outscored the Lady Greyhounds 16-9, with the 16 points for Whiteoak coming from Charli Hauke with a 3-pointer, two baskets by Hamm, three free throws by Jillian Lucas, a 3-pointer from Addy Hauke and four points by Torie Potts.

WHS led at halftime by a 26-22 score.

The third quarter for Whiteoak was outstanding with a 23-point effort, while they held Manchester to 13 points in the same frame.

Whiteoak in the third saw Charli Hauke and Hamm each sink a basket, Lucas knocked down a 3-pointer, Addison Roberts made two baskets, Addy Hauke made two 3-pointers and a two-point basket, and Potts made two baskets.

For the fourth and final frame, Whiteoak scored 16 points, and MHS tallied nine points.

The final frame for the Lady ’Cats had a basket made by Charli Hauke, Roberts with a 3-pointer and three two-point baskets, a 3-pointer and free throw made by Addy Hauke, plus a free throw from Potts.

Whiteoak’s leading scorer was Addy Hauke with 18 points, making one two-point baskets, five 3-pointers, and she was 1-of-2 from the free-throw line.

Hamm totaled 10 points, finishing the SHAC game with three two-point buckets, a 3-pointer and she was 1-of-4 from the free-throw line.

Charli Hauke totaled nine points with three two-point baskets and a 3-pointer.

Also with nine points was Potts with three two-point baskets, and she finished 3-for-4 in her free-throw attempts.

Lucas ended the game with six points as she made a 3-pointer and went 3-of-6 from the free-throw line.

Manchester was led by Bella Hughes with 19 points, as she totaled five 3-pointers, one two-point basket and went 2-of-4 from the free-throw line.

For the game, the Lady ’Cats totaled 15 two-point baskets, nine 3-pointers and they were 8-of-14 from the free-throw line.

Manchester (0-5, 2-6) totaled nine two-point baskets, seven 3-pointers, and they were 5-of-15 from the free-throw line.
