Lady ’Cats lose on road at Ripley
Playing in Southern Hills Athletic Conference play on Friday, the Whiteoak Lady Wildcats lost to the host Ripley Blue Jays by an 11-1 score in five innings.
The loss at RHS saw the Lady ’Cats score their lone run in the top of the fifth inning. Ripley had two runs cross home plate in the bottom of the second, followed by another two run inning in the third, a three-run fourth and four final runs in the bottom of the fifth.
WHS was out-hit 15-4, and neither team committed an error.
Jaylie Parr was 1-for-2 with one run and a walk. Teammate Bri Hill was 1-for-2 with a walk.
Charli Hauke finished 1-for-2, and Elly McMullen was also 1-for-2.
The Lady ’Cats also had Lily Leston and Elena Limon both forcing a walk.
Parr finished with three steals, and Hill had two steals.
Hill pitched one inning with one strikeout, and Leston pitched 3.1 innings, with one strikeout.
WHS is now 6-10 overall this season.
