Rich named to CSC Academic All-District, Academic All-OAC teams

Six Baldwin Wallace University women's soccer student-athletes, including junior forward Kalyn Rich (Lynchburg/Lynchburg-Clay), have been selected to the 2025 College Sports Communicators (CSC) NCAA Division III Academic All-District Team.

In order to qualify for the Academic All-District feat, a student must be a sophomore academically and athletically, must have a 3.50 grade-point average or higher and must have competed in 90 percent of the team's games. 

Rich, who garners her first career honor, carries a 3.55 grade point average in pre-allied health and pre-physical therapy. 

Rich was also one of 97 Baldwin Wallace University fall sports student-athletes have been named to the 2025 Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference team. 

In order to be selected as Academic All-OAC, a student-athlete must be a sophomore or higher in class standing, maintain varsity status and have at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA. A student-athlete may only receive Academic All-OAC on three occasions.

The 97 student-athletes included 32 from football, eight from men's cross country, 22 from men's soccer, five from women's cross country, 21 from women's soccer and nine from women's volleyball. 

Of the 97 selections, 19 are three-time Academic All-OAC student-athletes, 31 are repeat selections, 47 garner their first selection and five had perfect 4.000 grade point averages.

This season, she appeared in all 19 games with 18 starts. Rich led the team and was tied for eighth in the Ohio Athletic Conference with five goals. She led the team in points with 12 and was tied for second on team with two assists.  

Rich was named to the All-OAC first team. For her career, Rich has appeared in 50 games with 48 starts. She has recorded 15 goals and 10 assists for 40 points. Rich was the OAC Offensive Player of the Week on Sept. 18, 2023.

BW finished the 2025 season with an overall record of 4-11-4 and an OAC mark of 3-3-2. The Yellow Jackets advanced to the OAC Tournament quarterfinals.
