Mustangs win first 2 matches of 2024 season

The Lynchburg-Clay boys golf team won their first two golf matches to begin the 2024 season, winning a tri-match on Monday (Aug. 5) and winning their season opener on Friday (Aug. 2), both at the Hillsboro Elks Golf Course.
On Monday, the Mustangs defeated both the Manchester Greyhounds and the Whiteoak Wildcats. LCHS had the low score of 167, followed by Manchester at 181 and Whiteoak with a 215 score.
LC's individual scores saw senior Saxen Wilkin with a low score of 40. Next was freshman Nolan Wilkin with a 41 score. Senior Braedon West carded a score of 42, and senior Josiah Burns scored a 44.
On Friday, Lynchburg-Clay defeated Hillsboro and Western Brown to begin the 2024 season, as the Mustangs had a team score of 169. Hillsboro followed with a 184 team score, and Western Brown finished with a score of 228.
