Mustangs split DH with Minford

A four-run third inning was enough scoring for the Lynchburg-Clay Mustangs to defeat the Minford Falcons on the road by a 4-0 score in their doubleheader at MHS Saturday.

LC lost the second game by a 10-0 score.

For the Mustangs in their first win of the season, they saw Josiah Burns score a run, draw two walks and have a steal. Braedon West also scored a run and walked twice.

Cole Wells went 1-for-3 with one run, while Luke Smith was also 1-for-3 with a run. Christian Flowers drew a walk, while Isaac Eyre also had a walk.

Austin Bell went 1-for-3 with two RBI, and Cody Bell was 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Brayden Oberrecht pitched five innings where he allowed no runs on six hits and one walk. He finished with four strikeouts.
