The inaugural Lynchburg-Clay Boys Soccer Alumni game was a huge success, with graduates of the program taking on members of the 2024-25 team Saturday, Aug. 10.
The alumni team consisted of 19 players ranging from the graduating classes of 2018-24. Referees were Jeff Raines, Chuck Burns and Raymond Smith.
The current LCHS boys soccer team was victorious in the match by a score of 4-2, but the highlight of the evening was the financial support provided by family and friends of the soccer program, donating over $1,000 for Hope Emergency Program and Blessings for Christmas, Inc.
Thank you to all who participated and donated in a great event for the community and LC student-athletes.
