LC Mustangs place 4th at Portsmouth Invitational

In their second event of the 2025 season the Lynchburg-Clay Mustangs boys golf team traveled to play in the Portsmouth Invitational on Thursday (July 31) against 21 other schools as the Mustangs returned to Highland County with a fourth place finish at the Portsmouth Elks. 

LCHS, in the Portsmouth Invitational, were lead by Nolan Wilkin in the 18-hole event with a score of 77 (35, 42). 

Next was Jackson West (40, 41), and he was followed by Kristian Beachy with a score of 88 (44, 44), and Carson Pfister totaled a 99 (46, 53) in the event as each team had four players competing. 

Next for the Mustangs is another invitational on Monday, Aug. 4 at Friendly Meadows as they will play in the Eastern Invitational at 11 a.m.
