Lady Mustangs volleyball loses in 3 sets to North Adams
On Thursday (Aug. 22), the Lynchburg-Clay Lady Mustangs lost a Southern Hills Athletic Conference match to the host North Adams Lady Green Devils in three consecutive sets.
LCHS lost by scores to North Adams at 25-14, 25-11 and 25-19.
Leading the Lady Mustangs in kills was Kylie O’Connor with eight, as she also had two digs.
Morgan Baker for LCHS totaled two digs, and teammate Addy Carraher finished the match with two kills, eight assists, 11 digs and one block.
Ava Doughman collected one ace and two digs for the Lady Mustangs. There was also Halle Greene finishing with three kills, three digs and a block. Matalyn Magee ended the match with one kill, one dig and two blocks.
Ava McLaughlin totaled five digs, and Joslyn Rockey finished with one kill and 10 digs. Avery Shope totaled one assist and six digs. Melany Stephenson had one dig for LCHS.
In all as a team LCHS finished with 43 digs, 15 kills, 13 assists, seven blocks and one ace.
The loss moves LCHS to 2-3 overall and 1-1 in the SHAC.
Next for LCHS is an away SHAC match on Wednesday, Aug. 28 at the Eastern Lady Warriors with a start time scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
