Lady Mustangs finish 14th at ’26 OHSAA Div. II State Bowling Tournament

The Lynchburg-Clay Lady Mustangs placed 14th at the 2026 OHSAA Division II State Bowling Tournament on Saturday, Feb. 28 at HP Lanes in Columbus. 

Lynchburg-Clay was 14th out of 16 teams in the Division II state event, where they had a score of 2952, putting them 271 pins off from making the cut to the final eight. 

LCHS in game one totaled a 708 score, and next was a game two score of 699. In game three, they had a score of 764 for a regular game total of 2171. In the Baker games, LCHS had scores of 178, 155, 148, 173 and 127 for a Baker total of 781. 

LC’s top finisher in 32nd place was junior Kylee Chaney with a score of 501, including game scores of 184, 152 and 165. 

Next was senior Maddie Brault in 34th place at 499, with game scores of 145, 203 and 151. 

In 52nd place was junior Kylie O’Connor with a score of 471. Her game totals were 168, 128 and 175. 

In 77th place was senior Jamison Miracle with a score of 398, as her game totals included 112, 122 and 164. 

Senior Lizzie Shreve had a game one score of 99. 

The eventual team state champion was Napoleon, followed by state runner-up Coldwater. In third was St. Mary’s Memorial, and in fourth place was Versailles. In fifth through eighth places were Fort Recovery, Springfield Kenton Ridge, Mechanicsburg and Warsaw River View. 

Ninth place went to Galion Northmor, and in 10th place was Urbana. The 11th though 16th places were Rootstown, East Canton, Carrollton, Lynchburg-Clay, Fairport Harbor Fairport Harding and Elyria Open Door Christian. 

The individual state champion was Coldwater senior Brittany Burden with a three-game total of 640, with game totals of 198, 229 and 213. 

This season for LCHS, they won the Southeast District championship and had a Southern Hills Athletic Conference record of 9-1.
