The Lynchburg-Clay Mustangs boys golf team continued their excellent start to the 2026 season as they dominated at the Snow Hill Course on Monday morning (Aug., 3) by winning the 2026 Lynchburg-Clay Invitational.
LCHS won their host event with a score of 322, gaining the victory by 25 strokes over the second-place Amanda-Clearcreek Aces, who finished with a final team score of 347.
The Hillsboro Indians were third place overall with a final score of 355.
Individually, the Mustangs collected four of the top five spots in the final standings, with LCHS junior Kristian Beachy earning medalist honors with a winning round of 79.
Teammate Aiden Bene followed with a score of 80, and Jackson West of LCHS carded a score of 81 to finish in third place.
LC's Nolan Wilkin tied for fourth place overall, ending the round with an 82. Austin Manning of LCHS shot a score of 89 to finish tied for 12th place overall.
