Fairfield, Lynchburg-Clay girls compete in Day 1 of SHAC Golf Tournament

The first day of the 2024 Southern Hills Athletic Conference golf tournament was held Wednesday, Sept. 11, where the Fairfield Lady Lions and Lynchburg-Clay Lady Mustangs represented Highland County.

After day one, West Union led with a score of 178, followed by North Adams in second place (189) and Fairfield in third place, tied with Peebles, as each team had a score of 200.

In fifth was Manchester (216), followed by Lynchburg-Clay (223) in sixth, and in seventh was Eastern (274). Ripley didn’t have a team score.

Fairfield scores included: Makayla Brown (46), Kelsie Crowder (47), Emmy Caudill (49) and Allison Pavey (58).

Scores for Lynchburg-Clay were: Kira Stratton (53), Willow Smith (55), Savannah Bell (55) and Libby Watson (60).
