Fairfield 3rd, LCHS 6th at ’24 SHAC Girls Golf Tournament

The 2024 Southern Hills Athletic Conference Girls Golf Tournament finished this week, as the West Union Lady Dragons won the championship.

Following WUHS — who carded a tournament score of 355 in the event — was North Adams at 403 for second place, and in third place was Fairfield with a score of 413. In fourth place was Peebles with a score of 415, and fifth place went to Manchester at 422.

Next, in sixth place was Lynchburg-Clay with a score of 452, followed by seventh-place Eastern at 531, and Ripley had no team score.

There was a tie for individual champion, as West Union teammates Olivia Lewis and Nina McCann each had a score of 86.

For Fairfield, results included Kelsie Crowder with a sixth-place finish of 97, and in ninth place was Emmy Caudill with a 99 score. In 11th place was Makayla Brown, as the Lady Lion golfer had a score of 101. Allie Pavey was 25th place, carding a score of 116.

The Lynchburg-Clay Lady Mustangs had final individual scores that included Willow Smith in 14th place at 104, followed by Kira Stratton in 20th place with a score of 111. Tied for 21st place was LC’s Savannah Bell with a 113 score, and in 27th place was Libby Watson of LCHS at 124.
