Lynchburg-Clay boys golf takes 13-stroke lead after SHAC Day 2
The Lynchburg-Clay Mustangs are showcasing their golf skills this season, and that was on display Thursday evening as the Mustangs shot a 159 score as a team, increasing their two-day lead in the conference event to 13 strokes.
On Day 1 of the SHAC event, LCHS shot a 160 and held a two-stroke lead. Following Thursday’s event, after shooting a 159, the Mustangs’ score was 319 for the first two days of the four-day event.
Following LCHS on Thursday were Manchester at 169, West Union at 170 and North Adams at 173. The rest of the day two scores were: Fairfield (191), Eastern (192), Whiteoak (192), Peebles (202) and Ripley (239).
The combined two-day scores for the event are Lynchburg-Clay (319), West Union (332), North Adams (335), Manchester (344), Fairfield (379), Eastern (382), Whiteoak (388), Peebles (399) and Ripley (458).
LC’s day two individual scores were: Saxen Wilkin (34), Nolan Wilkin (36), Braedon West (43), Jackson West (46) and Aiden Bene (49).
Fairfield scores for day two were: Brody Fauber (45), Van Bennington (46), Otis Cockerill (49), Blaine Fauber (51) and Caleb Barrera (55).
Scores for Whiteoak on day two included: Charlie Starks (43), Keian Moon-Stone (49), Zander Roades (50), Carson Hart (50) and Camron Storms (51).
