Fairfield Lady Lions win 2024 SHAC Track and Field Championships; WHS boys finish runners-up

The 2024 Southern Hills Athletic Conference Track and Field Championships were held at Manchester High School on Friday evening, where the Fairfield Lady Lions won the girls championship, while the Whiteoak boys placed as runners-up in the boys event.
For the girls, Fairfield dominated the event with a score of 146 to win the championship, followed by second-place Eastern with a score of 89. In third place was Peebles with a score of 78, followed by Fayetteville (63), North Adams (58), Lynchburg-Clay (52), West Union (50), Manchester (38), Whiteoak (26) and Ripley (14).
The boys event saw North Adams win the championship with a score of 141, followed by Whiteoak in second place at 127.50. The third-place team was Peebles with a score of 108, followed by Eastern with a 68 score. The rest of the boys scoring was Fairfield (49.50), Fayetteville (49), West Union (33), Manchester (29), Lynchburg-Clay (15) and Ripley (3).
