Lady Indians tennis gains FAC win over Jackson

Winning three matches on Thursday, Aug. 22 on the road, the Hillsboro Lady Indians earned a Frontier Athletic Conference win over the host Jackson Ironladies by a 3-2 score.

Win for the Lady Indians came in first singles, third singles and first doubles.

Jenna Hart was the winner in first singles by scores of 6-2, 6-1. The third singles winner was Elizabeth Sowers in three sets with scores of 1-6, 6-4 and 6-1.

The first doubles win came by Ciara Woods and Taylor-Ann Scruggs at 6-1, 6-1.

In second singles, Natalie Tharp lost by scores of 3-6, 6-7. The second doubles loss saw Alyssa Taylor and Allison Hendrix fall by scores of 0-5, 5-7.

HHS now stands at 3-1 in the FAC and 5-1 overall.
