Lady Indians finalize season at Gallia Academy

The Hillsboro Lady Indians saw their season end in the first round of the Division IV SE District Tournament as they lost on the road to the Gallia Academy Lady Blue Devils, 13-1 in five innings.
Gallia Academy and Hillsboro were tied at 1-1 after two innings with GAHS scoring a run in the first inning, while HHS had a run in the top of the second.
After a scoreless third inning, the game got away from Hillsboro as the Lady Blue Devils scored nine runs in the bottom of the fourth, then they added three runs in the fifth to end the game.
GAHS finished with seven hits and three errors, while Hillsboro had four hits and seven errors.
Addley Miller was 1-for-2 for HHS, and teammate Peyton Spurlock was also 1-for-2. Emory Zornes finished 1-for-2, and Chloe Pierson went 1-for-2.
Paisley Zink scored Hillsboro’s lone run with the RBI by Leah Vance, as Vance had a sacrifice fly.
Spurlock pitched 3.1 innings where she allowed one earned run off five hits and four walks with three strikeouts. Rilynn Swisshelm pitched 0.2 innings, as she allowed no earned runs on two hits and no walks with one strikeout.
Hillsboro finishes the season at 9-16 overall with a FAC mark of 4-6.
The lone senior for the Lady Indians was Chloe Roberts.
