Lady Indians fall to Western Brown, Chillicothe; HHS boys drop FAC contest to CHS
On Monday (Sept. 16), the Hillsboro Lady Indians lost to the host Western Brown Lady Broncos by a 7-0 score at WBHS.
Goals scored for WBHS included Kendall Hanlon with three, Aubrey Elkins with two, and scoring one goal each were Rilynn Roush and Shayla Bailey.
Madilyn Ruby was at goal for Western Brown with three saves.
On Thursday night (Sept. 19), Hillsboro fell to the Chillicothe Lady Cavaliers by an 11-5 score at Chillicothe High School in Frontier Athletic Conference action.
Hillsboro’s goals were scored by Ella Jordan, Kobie Miles and Peighton Bledsoe. Kamryn Asbury was credited with an assist for the Lady Indians.
For Chillicothe, Kiera Archer led the Lady Cavaliers with a seven-goal game, setting the CHS Lady Cavs’ goals record for a game. Also for CHS, goals were scored by Alex Erslan, Petiah Martin, Alyssa Dudley and Reagan Helmick.
CHS keeper Elania Crall totaled four saves.
The losses move Hillsboro to an overall record of 4-6-0, and they now have a FAC record of 2-4-0.
Next for Hillsboro is a home game Saturday, Sept. 21 against a non-conference foe, the Wilmington Lady Hurricane, at 9 a.m.
In boys action on Thursday night, the Hillsboro Indians lost to the Chillicothe Cavaliers by a 9-2 score in their Frontier Athletic Conference game.
Both of Hillsboro’s goals were scored by Wesley Bailey.
The Indians now stand at 3-2-0 in the FAC, tied for second place with Jackson, and overall HHS is 7-2-0.
Next for the Indians is a non-conference game Saturday, Sept. 21 at home vs. Wilmington at 10:45 a.m.
