Lady Indians defeat Wilmington; Indians fall by one goal to Hurricane

The Hillsboro Indians and Lady Indians traveled to Clinton County on Monday evening (Aug. 18) where the boys team lost by one goal, while the girls team won with a dominating performance. 

In the girls game both Kobie Miles and Ella Jordan each scored five goals en route to a 13-0 shutout win. 

Also with goals in the win were Grace Palmer with one, and scoring two goals was Arianna Evans. Assists were credited to Miles and Evans with one each. At goal in the shutout for HHS was Phoebe Holland. 

The win moved the Lady Indians to 2-0 overall. 

For the boys match, the Indians had 16 shots in a physical match with the Hurricane in non-conference play, falling by a 1-0 score. At goal for HHS was Owen Davis as the freshman finished with seven saves. 

The loss dropped HHS to 0-2 on the season.
