Hillsboro Lady Indians tennis starts with win over Western Brown

The Hillsboro Lady Indians tennis team gained a non-conference win against the Western Brown Lady Broncos at home Friday on the campus of Hillsboro High School.

HHS won by a 3-2 team score, with three singles wins, followed by two doubles losses.

In first singles, Jenna Hart (HHS) defeated Jordyn Lucas (WBHS) 6/2, 6/1. The second singles match saw Adalyn Gaines (HHS) defeat Jasmine Ashbrook (WBHS), 7/6, 6/1.

The third singles match had Natalie Tharp (HHS) gain a win against Carlee Ware (WBHS), 6/0, 6/3.

In doubles action, Liz Sowers and Taylor Scruggs (HHS) fell to Eve Wylie and Emily Young (WBHS) 3/6,2/6.

The second doubles team of Ciara Woods and Allison Hendrix (HHS) lost to Xavian Barr and Emma Kaylor, (WBHS) 3/6, 1/6.
