Camryn Spruell collects 500th career strikeout; Lady Indians prevail past Jackson

Monday was another Frontier Athletic Conference win for the Hillsboro Lady Indians, as they defeated the host Jackson Ironladies, 7-3, and in the process of the win, HHS junior Camryn Spruell collected her 500th career strikeout.
Spruell in the circle on Monday (April 15) pitched all seven innings, allowing three runs (two earned) off two hits and five walks. Spruell totaled 19 strikeouts in the win, as she earned the milestone mark within those aforementioned strikeouts. Spruell finished with 134 pitches, 80 for strikes.
At the plate, the Lady Indians finished with seven hits against a quality Jackson squad on the road, with Chloe Roberts going 2-for-3 with a home run, two runs and three RBI.
Halle Reveal was 1-for-3 with a run, one walk and two RBI. Mylea Fridley went 1-for-3, as her hit was a double, and she added two runs and forced one walk.
Spruell went 1-for-4, Eowyn Brown was 1-for-4 with a run, and Isabelle Brunck finished 1-for-3 with a run. Morgan Garman forced a walk for Hillsboro.
The win sends Hillsboro to 11-1 overall.
