Around the corner from the Festival of the Bells at Crossroads Park, over a hundred athletes and their family members gathered at the Railroad Street Park Saturday morning for two different sports tournaments.
The annual Festival of the Bells 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament, sponsored by State Farm Insurance - Amatha Farrens, was held with divisions for elementary, middle and high school students as well as adults. A total of 30 teams, with 101 participants, competed in the event and raised $2,020, which was donated to the Hillsboro Lady Indians basketball program.
Since 2022, the tournament has raised $6,140 for Hillsboro basketball.
Also at Railroad Street Park, the Hillsboro Pickleball Association hosted the inaugural Bell City Challenge on the park’s brand-new pickleball courts.
