Hillsboro scores 7 goals in shutout win over PHS

Starting the final week of the regular season, the Hillsboro Indians boys soccer team handed the visiting Peebles Indians a non-conference loss Monday, with HHS winning by a 7-0 score.

HHS scored four goals in the first half and added three more in the final 40-minute half.

Hillsboro senior Tate Davis finished with a hat trick, scoring three goals. Wesley Bailey, also a senior for Hillsboro, finished with two goals and four assists.

HHS senior Austin Bledsoe totaled one goal and three assists. Junior Cooper Swope also scored a goal.

The Indians of HHS totaled 20 shots in the match.

Hillsboro senior keeper Ryan Fender finished with six saves.

With the win, the Hillsboro Indians are now 11-5 overall. In FAC games this season, the Indians’ record is 5-3.

HHS Lady Indians score 6 goals in victory against Peebles

The Hillsboro Lady Indians hosted the Peebles Lady Indians on Monday and defeated their non-conference opponent by a 6-0 score.

Hillsboro had two players score two goals each, with junior Kobie Miles scoring two goals and senior Peighton Bledsoe also scoring two goals.

Junior Kiara Boris and freshman Ella Jordan each finished with one goal for Hillsboro.

HHS took 45 shots in the win, including six shots on goal.

At goal for Hillsboro was sophomore Phoebe Holland with two saves in the match.

Hillsboro now stands at 9-7-1 overall, and in FAC play this season HHS has a 4-5-1 record.

Whiteoak defeats Felicity; falls to Eastern

The Whiteoak Wildcats won a non-conference road match by defeating Felicity-Franklin by a 2-1 score at FHS.

Whiteoak had goals scored by junior Kenyon Hughes and senior Tyler Wessner. WHS senior Tori Potts had an assist.

WHS senior Jackson Tedford totaled eight saves in the win.

On Tuesday, the Eastern Warriors defeated Whiteoak by a 2-0 score in a home loss for WHS.

Tedford finished with nine saves for Whiteoak.

Eastern goals were scored by Jayse Riggs and Noah Shuemake.

With the win and loss, Whiteoak now stands at 8-6-0 overall, and in SHAC play their record is 2-5-0.

Lynchburg-Clay blanks Blanchester

The Lynchburg-Clay Lady Mustangs went on a road trip Tuesday and returned to Highland County with a 3-0 win over the host Blanchester Lady Wildcats.

LCHS had three players score, as junior Audrey Barry, junior Reese Ruble and senior Miranda Smith all were credited with scoring a goal.

Assists went to Savannah Bell, Ruble and Smith.

The Lady Mustangs totaled 10 shots in the win.

At goal for the Lady Mustangs was senior Allie Waits with one save.

LCHS now has an overall record of 9-5-1. In SHAC play this season, they finished in first place with a conference record of 5-0-1.
