McClain 4th, Hillsboro 5th at girls FAC No. 2 event

The McClain and Hillsboro girls golf teams played in Jackson at Friendly Meadows on Tuesday evening where in the Frontier Athletic Conference No. 2 match it was Miami Trace winning the contest. 

The Lady Panthers of Miami Trace finished with a first place team score of 203, followed by the Chillicothe Lady Cavaliers in second with a score of 207. The Jackson Ironladies placed third at 225, followed by McClain in fourth place (245) and Hillsboro in fifth place (249). The Washington Lady Blue Lions have just girls on their team this season with a 127 score in the event, but they didn’t qualify for the final standings as a team.

McClain’s 245 score consisted of Hailey Cornett (56), Carly Burhman (61), Laycee Watson (63), Autumn Uhrig (65), Lyla Chamblin (66), and Joanie Shrout (68). 

Hillsboro’s scores for their 249 included: Raeden Workman (57), Brianna Foxx (60), Kaydence Butler (65), Ella Walch (67), and Carey Skeens (68). 

The match medalist was Chillicothe’s Allie Johnson, a freshman, with a score of 46. The rest of the Top 5 was 2, Ashlynd Hippely (MT, 47);  3T, Alison Reeves (MT, 48); 3T Maggie Bunstine (CHS, 48); 5T, Ava Jenkins (JHS, 51) and 5T, Alanta Gibson (JHS, 51).
