Hillsboro High School’s volleyball program will host Fairfield Oct. 8 for the annual Volley for a Cure event.

JV starts at 5 p.m., with varsity to follow. Along with the volleyball games, there will be a bake sale, silent auction and 50/50 raffle.

All proceeds from this year’s Volley for a Cure will be donated to Mendy Hamilton and her family. In 2017, Hamilton was diagnosed with stage 1 pancreatic neuroendocrine cancer that progressed to stage 4 in 2019.

Since 2019, Hamilton has been treated with chemotherapy, radiation, chemo embolization and immunotherapy. In addition to treatments, she currently receives 10 hours of infusions weekly.

Please help Hillsboro’s volleyball program raise funds for a wonderful family in our local community.

If you would like to contribute to this service, it would be greatly appreciated. Donations may be made to: The Highland County Press, P.O. Box 849, Hillsboro, Ohio 45133.
