McClain Lady Tigers top Logan Elm and Peebles; Tigers defeat LEHS
Lady Tigers earn wins over Logan Elm and Peebles
The McClain Lady Tigers played excellent defense and also powerful offense Monday (Aug. 18), gaining a non-conference road win over the Logan Elm Lady Braves 7-0.
Paisley Pryor scored four goals in the win, while also collecting an assist. Teammate Lydia Mootispaw totaled one goal and one assist.
Also with a goal were Addy Olaker and Bailey Parson also scored a goal and one assist. Others with an assist were Larah Henson and Brie Cummins.
Leah Lovett was at goal for the Lady Tigers, as the keeper and the MHS defense finished with a shutout.
At the half, McClain led by a 5-0 score, then added two more goals in the second half.
It was another winner for the ‘25 McClain Lady Tigers by defeating the host Peebles Lady Indians on Saturday (Aug. 23) by a 5-2 score.
Paisley Pryor led MHS with two goals in the win, which was the third win of the season for McClain. Scoring one goal each were Larah Henson, Lydia Mootispaw, and Addy Olaker.
Becca Bergstrom and Olaker each had an assist.
The Lady Tigers led 2-0 at halftime, and in the second half they outscored Peebles 3-2 for the eventual three-goal win.
The Lady Tigers improve to 3-1 overall, and next on the schedule is a Frontier Athletic Conference game on Tuesday, Aug. 26 at home (McClain Field) with a 7 p.m. start.

Tigers take home win over Braves; fall to Peebles
The McClain Tigers faced non-conference opponent Logan Elm on Monday (Aug. 18) in a road contest, and returned to Greenfield with a 3-2 win over the host Braves.
The win by MHS was their first of the season. At the half the Tigers led by a 2-1 score.
Playing on Saturday (Aug. 23) in non-conference play, the McClain Tigers boys soccer team lost to the Peebles Indians by a 5-2 score.
For Peebles five different players scored a goal and those players were Connor Gross, Grady Myers, Paxton Ryan, Colyn Sims, and Wyatt Smart. Peebles keeper Holden Crum totaled eight saves.
Also for Peebles, Sims had two assists and Chase Shoemaker finished with one assist.
