McClain falls to host Chillicothe

In a Frontier Athletic Conference softball game on Monday evening, the McClain Lady Tigers lost to the host Chillicothe Lady Cavaliers 11-1 in six innings.
MHS on March 30 scored their lone run in the top of the fourth inning, scored by Brie Cummins, as she was 1-for-3 at the plate with one steal.
The Lady Tigers totaled four hits, as the rest of their hits were off the bats of Olivia Stegbauer (1-for-2, one walk) and Emma Posey (2-for-2).
Kyndee Williams for McClain finished with two strikeouts in 5.1 innings pitched.
As for Chillicothe, they scored two runs in the bottom of the first, then they followed with a four-run second inning, two runs in the third, one run in the fourth and two runs in the bottom of the sixth inning.
CHS totaled 11 hits and had one error. MHS committed no errors.
The Lady Cavaliers had four players with two hits each. CJ Rittinger was the winning pitcher for CHS, finishing with 10 strikeouts.
McClain is now 1-2 overall this season and 1-2 in the FAC.
MHS was scheduled to play again Tuesday, March 31 at home against the Chillicothe Lady Cavaliers in their second FAC meeting of the season.
