Lady Tigers drop non-conference game against Logan Elm

In their non-conference game Thursday (April 17), McClain allowed Logan Elm to score runs in three consecutive innings, which eventually led to a 6-2 home loss against the Lady Braves. 

The Lady Tigers scored their two runs with one in the bottom of the first and another one in the bottom of the seventh inning. Logan Elm added one run in the top of the second, followed by a three-run fourth and two runs in the fourth inning. 

The game saw McClain total six hits and have five errors, while Logan Elm totaled eight hits and two errors. 

Leading McClain was Kenzie Wise at 2-for-3. Milla Everetts for MHS was 1-for-4 with an RBI. Brie Cummins finished 1-for-3 with a double and one run. 

Leah Lovett was 1-for-3 in the game. Amaya Ryan was also 1-for-3, as she also scored a run. 

Hayley Worthen was hit by a pitch. 

Worthen pitched five innings in the loss, allowing six runs (one earned) on six hits and four walks with two strikeouts. She threw 86 pitches, 46 for strikes. Kyndee Williams pitched two innings, allowing no runs on two hits and no walks with two strikeouts. Williams totaled 37 pitches, 22 for strikes.   

The loss leaves McClain at 3-8 this season.
