Fairfield gains win over Western Latham

The Fairfield Lady Lions added another win for the 2026 season as they traveled to Pike County to defeat the Western Latham Lady Indians by a 14-1 score in five innings Tuesday evening.
The win on March 24 saw the Lady Lions total eight hits, and they had one error. Western totaled three hits.
Ava White was Fairfield’s leading hitter, going 3-for-4 with one run and two RBI. She also collected two steals.
Ally Maynard ended the game at 1-for-1 with two runs and two RBI, plus she forced three walks with two steals. Avery Morrow was 1-for-2 with two runs, one RBI and two walks.
Whitlee Morrow finished 1-for-2 with three runs, one RBI, two walks and two steals. Rilee Quickle was 1-for-3 with one run, two RBI, two walks and three steals. Jorgia Smith finished 1-for-2 with two runs and two walks.
Alyssa Bales finished with one run and walked twice. Kelsie Crowder scored one run and she drew two walks. Jorgia May scored one run and walked once. Kyla Thomas recorded a hit-by-pitch.
The winning pitcher was Quickle, who in three innings allowed no earned runs on one hit and no walks with eight strikeouts. Maynard pitched two innings, allowing no earned runs on two hits and no walks.
The win improves the Lady Lions’ record to 2-2 overall.
