Fairfield falls in D5 District quarterfinals against South Webster

The Fairfield Lions boys soccer team had their season come to a close on Thursday evening, falling to the South Webster Jeeps by an 8-0 score at SWHS in the Division V SE District Quarterfinals.
Entering the postseason as the No. 16 seed, the Lions won on Tuesday in their first-round game against Western Latham by a 6-0 score, putting them in the quarterfinals against the Jeeps, who are the No. 1 seed in the SE District.
For the Lions this season, they finished with an overall record of 2-13-3, and they were 1-6-1 in the Southern Hills Athletic Conference standings.
Quentin McIntosh led the Lions in goals scored this season with 12, and the assists leader was Logan Burgess with 10. Anderson Humphreys led the Lions with 110 saves this season.
Fairfield’s other win this season was a 4-2 victory against the Ripley Blue Jays on Sept. 15.
Seniors for the Lions are Aiden Teeters and Quentin McIntosh.
