Fairfield gains 1-goal win over Whiteoak

The Friday night showdown between Highland County rivals the Fairfield Lions and Whiteoak Wildcats saw the Lions win over the Wildcats by a 2-1 score.

For Fairfield, their two goals were scored by Logan McIntosh, with one of the goals assisted by Aiden Teeters.

For Whiteoak, their lone goal was scored by Tyler Wessner.

At keeper for Fairfield was Carson Jenkins with seven saves. WHS keeper Jackson Bedford totaled nine saves.

Fairfield improves to 2-2 in the Southern Hills Athletic Conference, with an overall record of 2-7. Whiteoak is now 0-3 in the SHAC and 3-3 overall.

Fairfield plays again Wednesday, Sept. 18 at home against the Clermont Northeastern Rockets at 5 p.m.

Whiteoak will next face the McClain Tigers at MHS Thursday, Sept. 19 with a 7 p.m. start.
