West to perform 'For the Love of Cash' at Brown County Hero Tribute benefit

Gary West will perform at the Brown County Hero Tribute Benefit Show on Oct. 15 at 7 p.m. at the Brown County Fairgrounds in Georgetown.

An Indiana native, West has been in Nashville working in the country music industry for almost 30 years. He built his career working with two of country music’s greatest entertainers, Little Jimmy Dickens and Del Reeves, along with several other legendary artists. West spent many years performing as a musician with them onstage at the world-famous Grand Ole Opry in Nashville and has extensively toured the US, Canada and Europe.
West performs “For the Love of Cash,” an authentic Johnny Cash tribute show. Although West is not a Johnny Cash impersonator, he is a downright amazing impressionist; the sound can be hauntingly in the likeness of the great American icon. The show is a journey through different time periods in remembrance of some of the great stars that Johnny Cash performed with or was inspired by. Audience members have remarked that this show is a classic country roller coaster ride that will have you laughing, crying, dancing and never wanting the moment to end.
