West Main Urgent Care celebrates 10th anniversary
Lead Summary

By
Erin Sheeley-
Sunday, Nov. 15 marked the 10th anniversary of longtime Chamber member West Main Urgent Care, who celebrated the milestone with a ribbon-cutting with the Highland County Chamber of Commerce.
The office at 231 West Main Street opened in 2010 with Dr. David Jamieson offering care for acute, non-life-threatening injury and illness to patients 6 months of age and older. Services have since expanded to include Ohio Department of Transportation physicals and initial Workers’ Compensation visits.
With convenient hours of 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. during the week and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekends, patients can be seen outside of typical doctor’s office hours without having to visit an emergency room, saving them on cost and allowing the ER capacity to be open for more serious or life threatening situations.
After five years of running the urgent care office, West Main Family Practice opened to offer primary care services to the area. Patients can be seen for well visit check-ups, acute and chronic disease monitoring and care, physicals, vaccines and more. The family practice is run by nurse practitioner Alicia Wilson, with Dr. Jamieson as the collaborating physician.
West Main Urgent Care has been a Chamber member since opening 10 years ago, and Dr. Jamieson has been an active participant on the Board of Directors and multiple planning committees.
The Chamber sends congratulations to Dr. Jamieson and a thank-you for all he does to keep the community safe and healthy.
