Wenstrup announces winner in Congressional Art Competition

Congressman Brad Wenstrup congratulated this year’s Congressional Art Competition winner, Catherine Strietmann, a senior at Ursuline Academy in Cincinnati, for her submission “Made in America.”
The art competition, which takes place every spring, asks high school students to submit original artwork for the chance to be displayed in the nation’s Capitol.
“We had a number of talented students submit artwork this year, and I couldn’t be prouder of the skill in our district. Catherine’s take on our nation’s flag is a beautiful tribute to Old Glory,” Wenstrup said.
Strietmann’s artwork will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol for the next year, and she will visit Washington D.C. in June, along with other winners from across the country, to view their pieces. Judging took place through online votes and a panel of local artists.
