Wenstrup announces winner of 2023 Congressional Art Competition

Washington, D.C. – Today, Representative Brad Wenstrup (R-OH) announced that the winner of the 2023 Congressional Art Competition for Ohio's 2nd Congressional District is Maria Giannatacsia Cartaino, a home-schooled student from Hillsboro. She won first place this year with her piece, "Bucolic." 

Her artwork will be displayed with all winning entries from congressional districts across the country in the U.S. Capitol for one year.

Halle Uhrig, a junior at Unioto High School, won second place with here piece, "Vintage." Her artwork will be displayed in Representative Wenstrup's D.C. Office.

Addie Gibson, a sophomore at Clinton-Massie High School, won third place with her piece, "Jesus Saves." Her artwork will be displayed in Representative Wenstrup's Union Township Office.
