The Waw-wil-a-way Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution met on March 11. Chapter Regent Elissa Zornes led the meeting of 25 members and guests.

Cheri Lehrter, State Project Committee Vice Chair of Project Patriot, was the presenter.

One of the many projects of the committee is collecting homemade blankets for babies of the military families. Waw-wil-a-way members made and donated several to the families.

New member Kim Lacalimito was inducted. Member Brittany Chrisman will attend and page at Continental Congress in Washington, D.C. in June.

At the April meeting, members will be collecting vegetable seeds for a DAR school, Hindman Settlement School in Kentucky, which emphasizes work with students with dyslexic characteristics and also provides GED Program. It was hit by floods last year.

Hostesses were Tonia Edwards, Helen Ford and Pat Young, who served a tea in celebration of the club's 128th anniversary.
