Even amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the Village of Lynchburg carried out its tradition of planting trees in observance of Arbor Day.

Two arborvitae evergreen trees were planted at the new welcome sign by village employee Logan Simmons.

National Arbor Day is April 24. The Latin word for tree is "arbor;" thus, Arbor Day celebrates the preservation and planting of trees.
