VFW, Hillsboro Lions Club assist Boy Scout fundraiser

Lead Summary

The Hillsboro Lions Club presented a check for $180 and forwarded check to the Boy Scouts from the VFW for $500.

The money will go toward purchasing a generator to power the lights at the Scout's building on BO-WA-GE. A recent storm blew a limb down on the power line. The Scouts decided to not spend the money to replace the service. The small 2,000-watt generator can power the building and be easily taken to the field to power laptops for training and campouts. The Scouts need about $400 more to be able to purchase the generator.

Anyone wishing to donate may contact David Lowell.
