Uptown beautification appreciated

It's a sure sign of spring when the uptown planters are cleaned and new flowers have been planted.

As in years past, civic-minded community volunteers Karen Cundiff, Alice Wilson and Maggi Horst were busy this week replanting flowers around the Highland County Courthouse and in the historic uptown business district.

Shown here is the planter and flagpole platform just outside the county courthouse with newly planted pansies.
