The Soil and Water Conservation Districts of Brown, Adams and Highland counties are excited to report that the new series entitled “Tri-County ROW (Real Outdoor Women)” was a great success being offered for the first time this year.

The series of evening events took place the third Thursday of April, June, July and September. Each program introduced participants to a new outdoor pursuit, including birdwatching, canoeing, creating wildlife habitats in prairies and archery.

The series encouraged women to try a new skill, spend an evening with ladies who have similar interests and learn from experts in the field in a non-pressure atmosphere. Several ladies in the Tri-County area took advantage of this great opportunity to pursue their outdoor interests, therefore plans are already in the making for another series of events in 2016.

The Tri-County ROW program was made possible through the collaboration of the local Soil and Water Conservation Districts, ODNR – Division of Wildlife and Pheasants/Quail Forever. ODNR – Division of Parks and Division of Natural Areas and Preserves also assisted with the facilities.

To be added to the mailing list to receive a brochure for the 2016 Tri-County ROW events, call the Brown County SWCD office at 937-378-4424, ext. 125.
